Efrat is a therapist at the Center for Developing Minds, providing counseling for children and adolescents
between the ages of 9 and 22 and their families. She uses a psychodynamic approach to working with youth
and young adults dealing with learning disabilities, social difficulties, trauma, illness, physical disabilities,
loss and grief.
Prior to joining the CDM, Efrat worked as a professional licensed psychologist in a private practice in Israel.
In her practice she offered therapy for children, youth and adults with learning disabilities and social-emotional
or behavioral issues, as well as parenting counselling and family therapy. In addition, she was performed
diagnostic assessments (psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive, processing, and academic strengths
and weaknesses) in individuals from school-age through adulthood.
Efrat also worked at the Psychological Educational Services in Ra’anana, Israel, and was the school psychologist
of one of the city’s largest high schools. Prior to that, she was a hospital psychologist at Lewinstein and
Tel Hashomer Hospitals in Israel.
Efrat earned a B.A. in Psychology, and an M.A. Clinical-rehabilitation Psychology from Bar Ilan University, Israel.
She is a licensed professional psychologist in Israel, and has a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern license in California.
