Cheri Nistler, M.Ed., LEP
Licensed Educational Psychologist

Cheri is an educational psychologist for the Center for Developing Minds. She has many years of experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations that help uncover strengths and weaknesses in cognitive functioning, information processing, executive functioning and academic skills. Her goal in each evaluation is to provide useful information that answers parent questions and guides treatment/intervention planning.

Cheri has worked in the public-school setting as a school psychologist for more than 15 years and has a solid understanding of the special education process in public schools. She particularly enjoys working with elementary school aged children who have learning disabilities and academic challenges. She is passionate about communicating assessment results and recommendations to parents so that they have a much better understanding of their child’s learning style and needs.

Cheri received a B.A. in psychology from Westmont College and a Master of Education degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has a Pupil Personnel Services credential and is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an educational psychologist.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling to fun places and spending time with her husband and elementary school aged child. Cheri is also an avid animal lover with a passion for animal rescue. She currently has a rescued dog and two cats at home.
